greens, greens, greens

This is the season for greens. Look at those babies! I picked those up at the co-op and did this with them

and this, too

and liking those so much, I went out and bought these babies

for four dollars. The farmer said, "it's a heavy bag." It sure was, until I did this

and it was delicious. I am turning into a cow. Some of the stems, even sauteed, are twiggy, but I have molars, and it's a pleasure to grind them. Which reminds me of something I should tell you: there is a Tuesday afternoon farmer's market in Northampton now. It starts at 2 and runs until six or seven. Find it in the plaza behind Thorne's. I'll see you there next week.
