Back From Ojai

I got back from Paul and Caryn's wedding in Ojai, California around midnight on Tuesday night.  My flight out on Saturday was delayed by about five hours, which made my first day of travel stressful and exhausting.  I arrived at my hotel in Ojai around 1 A.M. Pacific Time—4 A.M. Eastern Time—had a couple drinks with some old friends and promptly passed out.  There were moments on the windy state highways when I thought I would fall asleep behind the wheel of my cheap rental car.  It was dark and I'd been traveling for approximately 19 hours.  I woke up pretty early the next morning and ventured into the world to see what this part of southern California looked like.  Me and my wedding date, an old flame who'd flown down from San Francisco to see me again after four years, got some coffee and tooled around in the rental car for a couple hours before heading back to the hotel to prepare for the wedding.  The video is a little bumpy in places—I didn't have my dashboard-camera-mount with me—and for that I do apologize.  I also apologize for one other thing: the video says that the footage was taken on August 28th.  That is incorrect.  The wedding was on the 26th of August and the video is from that day.  And by the way, it was a beautiful wedding.

I love the way that yellow centerline works with those mauve hills.
