Beteween 2001 and 2005, I wrote and produced my zine, Idiot Hero. I made 18 issues and put out 14 of them. I did this in Bloomington, Indiana. I began this issue, issue number 5, "the drawing issue," in 2003, but I never completed it, and so another issue became the proper number 5. Meanwhile, I continued to add doodles and paste in bar napkin drawings and other scrap drawings I made while living in various parts of the country and the world, i.e. this issue has been to bars in Barcelona and Paris; Bloomington, Chicago, Florence and Northampton (MA); London, Norwich, and Cromer England; and it finally wound up in the Infidel Group headquarters in Aurora, IL, via post, where a group of collaborators unified and completed it. So, thank you Danny, Burt, Mellissa, Kevin and Daizy. I will produce the zine as soon as I receive it.

My friend and I were recently talking about the prevalence of technology in our day to day lives. Reading this post makes me think back to that discussion we had, and just how inseparable from electronics we have all become.
I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Societal concerns aside... I just hope that as the price of memory decreases, the possibility of transferring our memories onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's a fantasy that I dream about almost every day.
