Pain de Mie, Pain-de-Monium!

Yesterday me and Goob watched The French Chef.  "The Good Loaf" opened with Julia whacking a mass of dough onto the counter, complaining that she went to eighty billion different stores, looking for a good loaf of unsliced sandwich bread and found, would you believe it, nary a one!

So today I'm jumping on the Julia bandwagon and making Pain de Mie, white sandwich bread.  However, before then, I must head to my bi-weekly teaching meeting that I affectionately refer to as a big pain in mie ass!  Until I return, here's an article about changes in food television and food culture.

Out of the Kitchen, Onto the Couch

Snazzy is right. I mean, your bread looks like you bought it from the store. Come-on, you really bought it from the store and you're faking me out, right? I want some, it's pretty. Hey, thank you so much for stopping in on Sandwich 365. I appreciate that you took the time. Still wish I could follow you. More later, Keri (a.k.a. Sam)
